What was the highlight of Steigenberger Icon Wiltcher's

It was ok.

The hotel is situated in a great location, close to tram and metro. The room was nice, big and clean. Breakfast was ok, but there was not much choice and from a 5 star hotel you would expect more.

The hotel says it has a pool but the pool does not belong to them and is from another company. For a 5 star hotel and the price that you pay, you should be able to expect those things to be free.

Expectation Management

????????Great location. Great facilities, but don’t get your hopes up if they are busy. We booked a suite with a King bed and pull out couch and of course it was “unavailable.” What was even more frustrating for our family, was the reception desk’s inability to resolve the issue after we were told we’d be receiving what we booked. Breakfast option was solid. Wouldn’t be our first choice, but we’d potentially stay here again if in a pinch.

Wonderful

Breakfast was top notch. Everything you could imagine for breakfast and then some. Beats American "Continental Breakfast". Front desk was very helpful with our requests. Nice surrounding neighborhoods. Lovely shops around the facility. Transportation locations were easy to find.

Not bus or tram system closeby to take you to the Train station. Easier for us to walk the 40 minutes to the station than trying to figure out the Tram system. Uber was to expensive. Anywhere else in the city you can reach from the Tram system except for getting to the train station.

Good location, very safe neighbourhood, large rooms but more than needed

Rooms getting old but still good, so much space in the room but not that needed. Restaurant for breakfast dinner no windows so not comfy.

Not much light, it is dark. There are staff around but they are not that helpfull - no one carried our luggage to the room, no one helped the stroller up the stairs although they saw us struggling.

Excellent food location, staff -Shame you have to pay for use of pool and spa.

Room was very comfortbale, spacious, cleaners did an amazing job every day, brillant bathroom filled with lovely amenities. The breakfast was very varied and offer fresh produce. great selection of cheeses, hot food, bread, pastries, juices. Coffee machine had options but the taste of the coffee wasn't to my tasting. Good service from watier and waitresses. Great coffee machine and water available in the room. All restaurants and bars where delightful. Service was vigilant ilent but not overbearing. All food tasty as well as cocktails well made. Christams decorations where wonderful and added to the Christmas feel.

Toilet roll in bathroom was very thin and did not match the level or quality the hotel holds itself on in all other areas. All other parts of the room where fabulous What I thought was very wrong also.. to pay for the use of the spa and pool. As one of the few hotels in brussels with a pools this is a luxury for brussels. However there are very few luxury hotel like yours that charges for the use of the pool and spa 35 euros, for the pleasure. Yes it was nice to use. But how you can get guests to pay for the stay and then on top of that use the spa is wrong. lUXURY/5 star HOTEls around the world DO NOT charge for use of the pool, this should really be looked at. It a lovely part of your property but I cant see a reason to charge other then for profit reasons for hotel.

Beautiful stay ruined by one member of the concierge team.

Beautiful building and beautiful rooms, amazing bathrooms and beds. The hotel itself was outstanding and a good destination for a shopping trip.

A bit far from the centre, 30 min walk. One member of staff was very rude at the end of our stay which ruined it. Aggressively asking me to move my suitcase while I was trying to put some gifts In there, making me zip it up and carry it to a quieter part of the hotel. Was a waste of time considering I was nearly finished. Assume he did t want to effect the “image” even though I just spent a large amount of money to be there, considering the price I should be able to put my gifts in my suitcase when and where I want. This instance is what lowered the rating for me. Receptionists were lovely though

The hotel is very nice but beware of the hidden charges

The location was very good. The hotel was nice and quiet. Our room was very nice.

The hidden charges, I believed that I was booking a hotel with a spa. But when we used the spa/pool we were charged €36 each for 2 hours worth of use. Now this was not explained to us by either the reception desk or within the spa itself.

Unforgettable stay, and will be repeated.

Every thing was perfect comparing with the limited choices and luxary stays in Europe generally, but here you will find great and welcoming staff, wide spaces to move around, lovely breakfast and staff, the location of the hotel is great and near to lots of what you need as a tourist or visitor, i recived a small box of chocolate at the night of checkout as goodbyegift with kind words. I would stay again for sure if i visited Brussels another time.
